ebm-papst's Advanced Ventilation & Drive Solutions for Diverse Industrial Applications
10/17/2025Diagonal Compact Modules for Control Cabinet Filter Fans
ebm-papst’s new EC diagonal compact modules for control cabinet filter fans combine exceptional performance with low energy use, outperforming comparable axial solutions by a wide margin. Offered in sizes 165, 200, and 250, these filter fans ensure reliable cooling with minimal noise while providing robust protection against dust, dirt, and moisture. Their plug-and-play design simplifies installation and connection, and the efficient EC technology paired with a broad voltage range (100 V to 240 V) enables global deployment in applications requiring high air performance.
Expansion of the DiaForce Product Line
With increasing packing density in server cabinets and rising power throughput creating challenges for electronics cooling, ebm-papst continues to advance its proven DiaForce series of high-performance diagonal compact fans—ideal for critical use cases like data centers, telecommunications equipment, and industrial electronics. Building on the established DiaForce 120, the new DiaForce 80 and DiaForce 40 models extend the product range. The more compact DiaForce 80 excels in applications such as server trays and high-performance power supply units, delivering strong performance with pleasant noise characteristics. Meanwhile, the DiaForce 40 brings its advantages to routers, switches, network technology, industrial automation and control systems, and robotics.
New Protection Class for Extended Application Scope
The AxiEco 200 axial compact fan delivers reliable, energy-saving cooling for data center applications including in-row cooling and Rear Door Heat Exchangers. An optional full encapsulation feature allows the AxiEco 200 to be equipped with an IP 68 protection class, making it highly resistant to environmental influences while retaining its efficiency, compact design, and low noise. Beyond data centers, this protection class enables its use in outdoor applications that require pressure, such as battery cooling systems and fast-charging stations.
Intelligent Drives with EtherCAT Interface
For coordinating large numbers of smaller drives within a system, decentralized drive solutions—with integrated electronics in the motor housing—have become an industry standard. ebm-papst’s BLDC internal rotor drives in the ECI-80 motor series (boasting output power up to 720 watts) are now fitted with K5 electronics. These drives can be controlled via I/Os or CANopen, and now also operate via EtherCAT (Ethernet for Control Automation Technology)—a solution that merges Ethernet’s advantages with the simplicity of classic fieldbus systems. As one of the fastest industrial Ethernet technologies, EtherCAT is ideal for decentralized, intelligent drives. For functional safety, an optional STO (Safe-Torque-Off) feature is also available.
