What is the power of a fan?

Everyone is familiar with the fan. It consists of a motor and fan blades. Which is often used in ventilation and air conditioning systems. From the perspective of energy conversion, the fan firstly converts electrical energy into mechanical energy of fan blade rotation, and then converts mechanical energy into the kinetic energy of airflow, therefore, the input power, output power and efficiency of the fan are important indicators to measure its performance.

The output power refers to the actual working effect provided by the fan to convert the input electric energy into air kinetic energy. It depends on factors such as fan design characteristics, speed, blade shape and number of blades.

The efficiency of a fan is the ratio between its output power and input power, usually expressed as a percentage.

High-efficiency fans have higher efficiency, which can convert more electrical energy into airflow energy to reduce energy waste.
