What are the temperature requirements for fans?

Temperature, one of the most important factors in fan selection.

It is important to note that both operating temperature and storage and transportation temperature are relevant to fans and must be distinguished.

The operating temperature is the maximum and minimum ambient temperature at which the fan will be used. When the ambient temperature is higher than the maximum operating temperature and lower than the minimum operating temperature, the fan will not work properly. The fan also heats up during operation and the motor temperature rises. Coupled with the effect of the ambient temperature, the motor can easily burn out once the tolerance value is exceeded.

The storage temperature is the maximum and minimum ambient temperature that the equipment can withstand in the non-operating state, i.e., the storage state. Once this temperature is exceeded, even if the temperature is restored to the acceptable operating temperature range, the normal operation of the equipment may not be guaranteed when it is turned on again.

There are many factors that affect the operating temperature of a fan, such as the design of the motor windings, the choice of bearings, the design of the fan structure, and the supply voltage. For example, AC fans support 50HZ and 60HZ operation at the same time, but the maximum operating temperatures in the two cases are very different, so you must pay attention.
